Susie Wolff

Susie Wolff goes far beyond being just an exceptional racing driver; she serves as a brilliant role model for women in a profession dominated by men.

From a young age, Susie’s passion for motorsport was instilled in her. As a child, she accompanied her parents, who owned a motorcycle shop, to various racing circuits. At the age of 8, she began kart racing at the club level and later excelled in karting championships in Scotland and England. By the time she was 14, she had already made her mark at the European and international levels. Her participation in a Formula 3 race in 1996 solidified her decision to pursue her dream of becoming a full-fledged racing driver, eventually reaching the pinnacle of the sport, Formula 1.

Even in her youth, Susie enjoyed public speaking and took part in competitions during her high school years. Today, she addresses diverse audiences at events covering a wide range of topics. Her unique and inspiring journey within the fast-paced world of Formula 1 motivates her listeners to dream big, set ambitious goals, and understand that it is passion and character, not gender, that truly define us.

After retiring from driving in 2015, Susie committed herself to promoting positive change within the sport. In 2016, she launched “Dare To Be Different,” an initiative aimed at encouraging female talent, inspiring the next generation, and increasing women’s participation across all levels and aspects of motorsport.

In 2017, Susie’s dedicated efforts were officially recognized when she was awarded the title of MBE in acknowledgment of her service and contribution to women in sports.

On June 26, 2018, Susie Wolff took on the role of Team Principal and became a shareholder of the Formula E team, VENTURI. Later that same year, “Dare to be Different” joined forces with the FIA’s “Girls on Track” initiative, establishing a global presence and undertaking essential groundwork on a worldwide scale to ensure that girls and women of all ages are fully aware of the opportunities available to them.
