Märtha Rehnberg is passionate about the climate, she is a trained economist, entrepreneur and works with political policy issues. She is one of the founders of the Copenhagen-based think tank DareDisrupt. Märtha’s greatest driving force is to create better, clearer visions for the future. For her, it does not mean looking into a crystal ball, or predicting the future. It’s about creating an understanding of how our dreams and visions of the future actually have an effect on how we act today. If we dream big enough and can articulate it clearly, our ideas can attract attention, talent, capital, and eventually – become self-fulfilling prophecies. We must be able to imagine a better world to get there.

She often lectures on technology, innovation and sustainability from a broad perspective. With current examples, she addresses issues ranging from the impact of the pandemic on our environment, technological development and disruptive innovation to biotech and circular economy.

In her lectures, Märtha shows how “technical intuition” is a central part of creating powerful visions. Drawing on the decade’s technological advances and the business models they gave rise to, she challenges you to peer into the future with curiosity, courage and a will to act. Because if we act at the right time, we can create truly positive changes.

Märtha has studied economics and has written about, among other things, global economics, trade and new technology. She has given more than 300 lectures in over 20 different countries on “technical intuition”, “responsible disruption”, “future economy” and “radical climate innovations”.

Märtha Rehnberg was elected “Leader of Tomorrow” at the St Gallen Symposium and has been profiled as a “FemTech Leader” by Innotribe, the Carlisle & Gallagher Consulting Group and the Digital Finance Institute. In 2018, she became a member of the High Level Industrial Roundtable “Industry 2030” of the EU Commission, to define and co-author a new strategy for Europe’s industries and its future. She has helped develop the ‘European Green Deal’ and the EU’s ‘Taxonomy on Sustainable Finance’. And in 2019, she was chosen by the Danish government as a climate policy advisor in the so-called ‘Grønne Vækstteam’.
Märtha lectures in French, English, Swedish and Danish.
