Nadja Swarovski is a prominent figure in the Swarovski Crystal Business, serving as an Executive Board member and also chairing the Swarovski Foundation. She pursued studies in Art History and Foreign Languages at Southern Methodist University in Texas, and later attended the Sotheby’s Institute of Art and the Gemological Institute of America in New York. Her professional journey commenced at the Gagosian Gallery, and she gained further experience working with the renowned fashion PR Eleanor Lambert.

In 1995, Nadja became part of the family business, founded by her great-great-grandfather, Daniel Swarovski. Her appointment as the first female Executive Board member at Swarovski Crystal Business marked a significant milestone. Throughout her tenure, she has successfully positioned the Swarovski brand as a major influencer in the fashion industry, fostering creativity and supporting emerging talents. Collaborations with leading fashion houses and involvement in important industry exhibitions and events have been driven by her efforts.

Nadja’s contributions also extend to sustainability initiatives. Since 2012, she has taken the lead in shaping Swarovski’s sustainability strategy and ensuring the company’s corporate social responsibility efforts align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The company’s commitment to ethical and sustainable practices has earned Swarovski crystals the reputation of being the greenest in the market.

Beyond her business achievements, Nadja Swarovski is recognized internationally as a philanthropist. She has received numerous awards, including the Global Fashion Business Leader Award at the Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards and the Fellowship Award from the Society of British and International Design. Notably, she established the Swarovski Foundation in 2013 to support charitable initiatives related to culture, creativity, human empowerment, and conservation of natural resources. Moreover, she uses the company’s brand visibility to champion gender equality and promote women’s empowerment on international platforms.
