Micael Dahl\u00e9n is an international lecturer and economics professor at the Stockholm School of Economics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Micael’s latest book, Sifferdjur: How the numbers control our lives<\/strong>, is about how numbers and measurements affect us, and was written together with Norwegian research colleague Helge Thorbj\u00f8rnsen, professor at NHH (Norwegian School of Economics). The book revolves around our rating and collecting of everything from money, to friends, eating and calories. We count all the time, and it affects not only how we think, but also how we feel. Should everything really be quantified?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Micael Dahl\u00e9n has previously written A little book about the meaning of life<\/strong>, which became somewhat of a continuation of his book A little book about happiness<\/strong>. Books based on research about how happiness works and about what makes us feel good. Both two highly noticed and appreciated books.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Micael Dahl\u00e9n is a popular speaker and lecturer, both in Sweden and internationally. He has spoken in places such as Shanghai, New York, Istanbul and Lisbon, for clients such as Google, Ericsson, Samsung, The Economist and Fujitsu. He has been voted “business’s most popular speaker” and in September 2021 he was named second in the world in the latest global ranking of researchers in his field in the Journal of Business Research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
