Shada Islam is an influential specialist in European affairs from Brussels. After working as a journalist and think tank expert, she now works independently as a commentator, advisor, analyst and strategist on issues that fascinate her, including Europe, Asia, Africa, geopolitics, trade, migration, inclusion, diversity and women’s empowerment. Shada runs her own Brussels-based global strategy and media consultancy called New Horizons Project (NHP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2017, Politico Europe identified her as one of the 20 most influential women in Brussels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She holds the position of Senior Advisor at the European Policy Center and is a Visiting Professor at the College of Europe (Natolin Campus). Additionally, Shada is a regular contributor to The Guardian newspaper and the EU Observer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She has devoted most of her career to researching, writing, analyzing and discussing the European Union and its relations with Asia and Africa, as well as development policy. , trade policy and migration within the EU. She is recognized as an analyst and advocate for a more inclusive and fair EU.
